Smp For Dark Skin Tones

We could go on and on about the benefits of scalp micropigmentation and its role in the beauty industry, but that would take time.

Today, we want to focus on some recurring questions we have been getting, especially concerning SMP for dark skin tones.

To give a very simple answer, scalp micropigmentation works and comes out beautifully on all kinds of skin tones and ethnicity. Be it American, African, and Asian.

Make sure you read till the end for a more detailed answer.

How does SMP work?

The process involved in scalp micropigmentation is basically the same for all skin tones. Except that much more pigment is needed for dark skin individuals than light skin individuals.

It simply involves using a fitted machine with a micro needle to fill in pigments on the scalp to mimic it looking natural. These pigments fade away with time, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Why should I opt for SMP?

  1.  Individuals suffering from alopecia, baldness, or any genetic hair loss problem can opt for SMP.
  2. If you lose your hairline to barbers cutting deep into your hair, SMP is also a good option for you.
  3. If you have scars on your scalp sustained from an accident or as a birthmark and want to conceal them, SMP is your best bet.
  4.  Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, who have lost their hair in the process can also opt for SMP.
  5. Hair loss after childbirth due to hormonal changes is also a reason for SMP.
  6.  If you simply want to join the beauty trend and enhance your looks, you can always apply for a session as well.

Is it painful?

SMP is a non-surgical process and coupled with the fact that a numbing cream is usually applied before the process is being carried out, it comes with very mild pain. Some people even say they don’t feel any pain. So I guess it depends on your pain threshold. But be rest assured it’s nothing unbearable.
