Problems
Common SMP problems
What are common problems that result from SMP that’s gone wrong?
Scalp micropigmentation is a highly specialised semi permanent tattooing procedure that should be carried out by a well qualified, professional and experienced artist.
When SMP is performed badly, it can result in a number of common problems:
- Irregular or inconsistent micropigmentation deposits that don’t blend properly with real hair
- Hairlines that seem to be obviously unnatural, as though they have been drawn on
- Unexpected colouring (usually a visible hint of blue)
- Excessive and unexpected fading
- A loss of definition and regularity in the micropigment dots
Reversal
Can bad scalp micropigmentation be reversed?
Receiving a poor standard of care is always distressing, but luckily, we have a lot of experience and training to ensure we can mitigate the impact of a bad scalp micropigmentation experience and still give you the best chance of getting the result you wanted.
SMP Laser Removal
Occasionally, repairing a bad micropigmentation procedure might require the use of specialist laser equipment, which effectively removes the original work and allows us to treat the area properly.
